The oathing stone ritual is deeply symbolic of those who were more in touch with the land than we find ourselves today. The Oathing stone symbolises connection and ancestral honour, rooted in ancient tradition. It invites couples to anchor their promises in something enduring, drawing strength from the land the elements and those who came before. You are essentially setting your vows in stone.
The Quaich ceremony is a traditional Scottish ritual that symbolises trust, friendship and unity in the coming together of two clans. When shared between two people it represents mutual respect and the willingness to offer and receive in equal measures. It also seals the deal.
The Caim (pronounced Ky-m) is a traditional Celtic “encircling” prayer or ritual used for protection. Creating the circle clockwise (sunwise) it symbolises safety, unity and separation from negative forces.
