Oathing Stone

The oathing stone ritual is a deeply symbolic act of commitment, connection, and ancestral honour. Rooted in ancient tradition, it invites couples to anchor their promises in something enduring — drawing strength from the land, the elements, and those who came before.

Deeply rooted in Celtic tradition

Back in the day tribal folk were tied to the land and spirit much more than we find ourselves today. Oaths given over stone meant that they were forever set in stone and were more binding.

The couple would both place their hands on the stone and pledge their oaths. This would be witnessed by the tribe, the chief and provide a bridge for all the ancestors who went before. At the end of the ceremony the stone would take its own journey being tossed into the loch or over a cliff to the sea.

Every ceremony begins with a conversation.

Whether you’re at the very beginning or already have a clear idea in mind, a simple conversation is often the best place to start. There’s no pressure, just a chance to explore what feels right for you.
